There Will Be Blood

Finally got around to seeing "There Will Be Blood". I didn't really want to go at first because I heard it was kind of long (which it was, but more on that later).  But I wound up giving in at the end because my friends had trusted me enough to go see "No Country For Old Men".

The other thing about seeing movies over here is that you have to choose wisely. One of my favorite things back in the States was to go see crappy movies. Well, not for friggin $12 a ticket am I going to go see a crappy movie over here. I'll just download it.

Dizzzam. I was actually pretty impressed. Daniel Day Lewis sure won that Oscar. He was pretty intense. You forget this was the same guy who did the West Belfast accent for "In The Name of the Father".

I did think the movie was a little long. There was basically no dialogue for like the first fifteen minutes. Could have done with a little trimming here and there.

But that's really a minor quibble, because the ending totally made up for it. One of the most awesome endings I've ever seen. Short. Sweet and to the Point.
